The Nutrition Department was founded in 1999. After more than 20 years of cultivation, it has developed into a clinical nutrition discipline that integrates medicine, education, and research. It is one of the "Top 100 Medical Nutrition Weight Loss Teaching Bases" in China, a standing committee member of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, an executive director unit of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Guangdong Nutrition Society, a president unit of the Nutrition Physician Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association, and a president unit of the Nutrition and Health Branch of the Shenzhen Health Management Association. There are currently 6 doctors, including 1 chief physician, 3 attending physicians, and 2 physicians, including 2 with doctoral degrees, 3 with master's degrees, and 1 with bachelor's degrees. There are enteral nutrition preparation rooms, treatment meal areas, nutrition clinics, enteral nutrition preparation pharmacies, etc. Equipped with enteral nutrition pump, laminar flow table, mobile human body composition analyzer, etc.
Specialized advantage technology and characteristic diagnosis and treatment projects
The nutrition department comprehensively carries out various disease treatment diets, as well as enteral and parenteral nutrition support for patients with cerebral hemorrhage and stroke, major surgery, tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It has dozens of different types of enteral nutrition preparations and special medical formula foods. The Nutrition Department has a nutrition metabolism clinic and a special obesity malnutrition clinic to provide accurate nutrition consultation and treatment for patients with obesity, malnutrition, anorexia nervosa, cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage, autism, child hyperactivity disorder, pregnancy diabetes, chronic kidney disease, eczema, psoriasis, anxiety and depression, severe diarrhea and constipation, insomnia and other patients.
Overview of scientific research and teaching
The department regularly organizes and undertakes training courses on the standardized application of enteral and parenteral nutrition support for provincial and municipal continuing education projects, as well as the construction of standardized nutrition departments. It undertakes the teaching and guidance work for clinical nutrition graduate students, trainees, and interns at home and abroad. It has independently or jointly trained 7 master's students, participated in multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment (MDT) activities for tumors, fatty liver, IBD, oral tumors, etc. in the hospital, and regularly held various forms of nutrition salons.
The department has obtained 5 scientific research fund projects, including 1 Danone Fund, 2 provincial science and technology plan projects, and 2 Shenzhen scientific research funds. More than 10 utility model patents have been filed, with nearly 40 published papers and articles. The chief editor has participated in the compilation of multiple works, including 8 SCI articles.
